Discodorididae -without Cariophyllidia

Ardisia is very distinctive with it's deep depressions along the midline of the upper body surface. Discodoris boholiensis is often seen crawling quickly, for a dorid, over hard surfaces. The mantle is very flexible and sometimes offers a good hiding place for Emperor Shrimps.
The small genus Taringa has feathery gills so similar to those of Halgerda that one species was named T. halgerda.
